Terms of Service

By creating an account or using MacroMatch ("the service", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

MacroMatch helps you discover restaurant meals that fit your nutrition goals. We calculate suggested calorie and macronutrient targets based on information you provide, surface restaurant menu items that match those targets, and let you order through third-party delivery services.

MacroMatch is not medical, nutritional, or dietetic advice. We are not a substitute for a registered dietitian, doctor, or other licensed health professional. The calorie targets, macro suggestions, and meal recommendations are general estimates based on standard formulas — they are not personalized clinical advice. If you have a medical condition (including but not limited to diabetes, eating disorders, kidney disease, pregnancy, or food allergies), consult a qualified professional before using MacroMatch to guide your eating.

The nutrition data we display for restaurant meals is sourced from the restaurants themselves, third-party nutrition databases, and AI estimation. Values are approximate and may be inaccurate. If you have a medically-relevant reason to know exact macros (e.g. for insulin dosing, allergy management), verify with the restaurant directly.

• You must be at least 13 years old to use MacroMatch.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide (height, weight, etc.). Inaccurate inputs produce inaccurate targets.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Notify us at once of any unauthorized use.
• One account per person. Don't share accounts.

You agree not to:

• Use the service to harass, defraud, or harm anyone.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that aren't yours.
• Scrape, copy, or republish our content (recommendations, scoring, restaurant data) at scale.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the service.
• Use automated agents (bots, scripts) to access the service without our written consent.
• Upload malicious code, run security scans against our systems, or attempt to overload our infrastructure.

We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules, without notice.

MacroMatch links to and integrates with third-party services including DoorDash, Uber Eats, the restaurants themselves, and our infrastructure providers (Clerk, Vercel, Anthropic, Stripe). We are not responsible for the content, pricing, accuracy, or actions of these third parties. Your interactions with them are governed by their own terms.

MacroMatch may offer paid subscription plans. If you subscribe:

• You will be billed in advance on the cadence shown at checkout.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel before the next billing date.
• You can cancel at any time from your account settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial periods.
• Prices may change. We will notify you at least 14 days before any price change takes effect on your subscription.

The MacroMatch service — the code, designs, scoring algorithms, aggregated nutrition data, and brand assets — is owned by MacroMatch. You retain ownership of the content you create (diary entries, saved meals, profile info), and you grant us a limited license to use that content to operate the service for you.

MACROMATCH IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, ACCURATE, OR COMPLETE. WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MACROMATCH AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE (OR USD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER).

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or liability arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

You can delete your account at any time by emailing us at the address below. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (disclaimers, limitation of liability, intellectual property) will survive.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
